Jessica was born and raised in the lower mainland and it was evident even at an early age that she has a passion for the spotlight. During her elementary school days, Jessica became recognized as the girl that could really sing. She could be seen at assemblies singing the official school song, and was highlighted in the choir, band, drama productions and talent shows. At the same time, Jessica devoted numerous hours to local theater productions and vocal lessons. Her first lead role was at age 9 when she played the role of " Alice" in Alice in Wonderland. In grade 7, she was presented the first Fine Arts Award.
After graduating from grade school, she enrolled in Tamanawis Secondary School in Surrey. She soon was performing the National Anthem at school functions, and singing with the Senior Jazz band at concerts and competitions. While representing her school in grade 9 she won Best Senior Vocalist at the Surrey Envision Jazz Festival . At 15, White Rock Players Club director Scott Wheeler awarded her the lead role in the production of " The Three Musketeers" where she played "D'Artangan".
This year, Jessica has taken risks, risen to many challenges and has learned that it takes more than a pretty face and talent to become successful. Her genuine style and powerhouse vocals have captivated audiences in over 30 performances this year from Seattle to Kelowna, including appearances at the Kelowna Country Christmas, Mountainfest and the Vancouver Roxy Nightclub. The launch of her website in the fall of 2004, winning Cameo Canada's (CAMEO) Teen Vocalist of the Year award and releasing her first professionally produced, mixed and mastered demo CD, “On My Way” allowed Jessica to spread her wings even further.
While Jessica loves to perform all kinds of music, her heart is warmed by country. She describes it as
"feeling like I'm at home".
She is a fresh face, has a sparkling personality, relentless ambition, and her talent is undeniable.
